interactive primeval lava at the zoo in leipzig

Beneath the glas dome covered Gondwanaland at the zoo in Leipzig, visitors track 40 exotic animal species and 500 different tree and plant species through jungle paths in the 16.000m² sized area.
The journey into this exotic land starts with a visit at the volcano tunnel, showing living fossils that haven't changed their appearance for millions of years.
Interactive projected streams of lava on the floor of the cave passages contribute to the authentic primeval atmosphere .
The project was realized on the basis of ›living surface‹ in collaboration with the company teenagels media technology in Duesseldorf.
